Director and CEO
Sandra Silva is an accomplished tax advisor with over 16 years of experience in fiscal representation and consultancy for both individual and corporate clients. She first joined AFC in 2009, eventually establishing her own consultancy in 2022, which later became part of the AFC Group. Sandra returned to AFC in 2024 as CEO, bringing with her comprehensive expertise in Portuguese tax compliance.

Director and CFO
Sandra Sequeira joined AFC in 2009 and has consistently supported the firm’s Directors in the finance department. With a strong sense of responsibility and a collaborative approach, Sandra ensures financial accuracy and strategic oversight across AFC’s operations. Over her years at AFC, she has found fulfilment in seeing the positive impact of AFC’s work on clients’ lives.

Tax Consultant
With 24 years of extensive experience in tax compliance, international tax, transfer pricing, and tax litigation, Susana Rosa dos Santos joined AFC as Head of Tax in 2024. She previously held key roles at Andersen and Deloitte, specialising in corporate and international tax.

Tax Consultant
Carla Sousa brings a meticulous and analytical approach to her role at AFC, drawing from extensive experience in financial control within the hotel, golf, and private education sectors. Known for her effective communication skills and multicultural awareness, Carla evaluates each decision thoroughly, ensuring that all client needs are met with precision and professionalism. She is committed to delivering exceptional client service, where satisfaction and accuracy are her driving priorities.

Miguel Casanova joined AFC in March 2023, focusing on clients with both standard and Non-Habitual Residency (NHR) status, as well as non-resident companies and individuals. With a background in the public sector and hotel accounting, Miguel is dedicated to delivering exceptional service to AFC’s clients.

A graduate in Business Management from the University of Algarve, Mafalda Machado joined AFC to focus on tax consultancy, with plans to further her expertise by joining the Order of Certified Accountants. This role allows Mafalda to grow professionally and contribute meaningfully to AFC’s success.

Patrícia Francisco is a Certified Accountant with the Order of Certified Accountants (OCC), holding over three years of experience in corporate income tax, financial compliance, and consulting. Joining AFC in 2024, she specialises in taxation for non-residents, non-habitual residents, and tax advisory.

Rafaela Paulino joined AFC as a Tax Advisor after her experience as a financial consultant at Deloitte Processes & Operations in Lisbon, where she developed her skills in finance, accounting, and tax advisory. Her background equips her to manage complex financial challenges and provide tailored tax solutions.
